Meet ally & eli.
Ally and Eli’s wedding day can be defined as romantically intimate.
It was one of those imperfectly perfect days. Rain and storms were forecasted, but mother nature decided to show out. The sun brightly beamed down on Ally and Eli’s ceremony through the glass windows of Thorncrown Chapel.
Thorncrown is one, if not the, most beautiful venue in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
As we prepared for the ceremony, travelers stopped in to see the beautiful architecture that this property provides. Nestled in the wooded Ozark hills, sits this chapel constructed in 1980 - named one of the most inspiring chapels in the 20th century.
As Eli took his place in the chapel, Ally and I made final touches in the suite. Here, Ally uncovered the custom ring she had engraved for Eli as a wedding day surprise as they said their “I do’s.”
After the ceremony, we took an adventurous route to find a unique location for portraits where we stumbled upon Miners Rock Loop - a trail used by hikers and mountain bikers in the valley of Eureka. Here, we captured photos of the two of them - walking the trails, bridges, and underpasses.
I carried lanterns along with us - perfect for creative portraits as the sun began to set.
Being a photographer is more than solely capturing the moments on a timeline. It’s about embracing the unexpected, thinking beyond the frame, and always being ready for the next adventure - whether it’s down a hidden trail or in the heart of one of the most beautiful chapels in America.
Magic happens when thoughtful planning meets those unexpected, candid moments.
